Creativity and Perseverance

Perseverance is the best friend of creativity.  Confidence coupled with commitment, audacity and stubborn continuance.  Jesus encouraged us to keep knocking until the door is opened.

Nothing is wasted.                                                                                                                                                                             All things work together for good.                         Love never fails.

Even perceived failures and dead end roads serve to prove that creativity is happening.  Ideas are given a chance to develop and succeed.  Who knows if one failed idea may contain within it a seed of unexpected ingenuity?  Play Doh was originally designed as a wall paper cleaner.  Post It Notes were discovered in part through applying a new use for a failed glue.  Quitting is not failing.  Quitting is putting a period on the sentence, perhaps before the final thought has been completed.  Creativity requires faith, hope and love.  It requires cultivation.  How many ideas begin as mediocre? Yet if they are given time and attention, they grow to become much greater than we were able to see from their inception?

  2. Thanks man. This is especially pertinent after having just started a blog and feeling unsure if I should give up due to lack of followers and the overwhelming nature of the whole thing.
